What is Torchwood?

I think I found out what Torchwood is. It's when you thread with several Brits on a Wednesday evening, and all of them go silent and 'BRB' at the same time. That means Torchwood is happening.

I wouldn't know if [livejournal.com profile] essayel hadn't told me that was what she'd been doing, though.
