woelfle who is still in China
Woelfle pinged me again from some Internet terminal in China that is as wonky as before, and of course, being behind the Great Firewall, she can't get on LJ. The Chinese seem not to have heard about LJ liking censorship as well now...
So, she still likes it there. Especially the rice brandy is good, although it does start to smell strange while continuing to taste good Something she ate didn't quite agree with her, though, even though she did not elect to eat the ducks' tongues.-
And she linked me to some pictures:
Food! Food is very important, even if there is undefinable gunk, and eventually an upset tummy. It all looks very fascinating, doesn't it. Event the gunk.-
They were taken to see monumental monuments today, with a great lot of stairs they had to go up and down.
And then they got to see Chinese opera. Woelfle says that it was strange, on account of the weird plots and the high-frequency half-speech, half-song. But she found their acrobatic skills born from decades of training very impressive.
