What is really, really evil about Alastair is his bizarre speech impediment/accent thing. If I never had to hear that slow, strangled voice again, I really wouldn't mind.  By speaking like that, he forces people to listen more attentively, really. And the content isn't worth the concentration.

misslucyjane is right, everybody suddenly calling Castiel 'Cas' is off! Even Anna does it, and she really has no reason to, like Dean would, by way of belittling Castiel's seriousness. My, is that angel serious! He is so serious, even canonical!Teja is a bundle of merry laughs, compared to him! And the Dean/Castiel vibes are so overt, I suspect the producers are doing it on purpose, to feed the slashers and wean them from that icky Winchester brother!cest stuff the fanficcers used to write. Said swamp is getting dried out further by where the story arc is going, which will most likely end up pitting Sam with Ruby against Dean with Castiel. Sam gets the chick, Dean gets the guy -- again, as in the Siren story!

Angels in fistfight against each other, though?? Pur-leaze!! These are great metaphorical beings, you'd expect them to slog it out with a bit more mojo and special FX. I mean, digital effects are getting real cheap, even the BBC does them to great effect all over the place -- so let them zap, Sam-style, instead of hitting each other like bloody Neanderthals!

And am I mistaken, or does Dean cry more easily these days...?
