yakalskovich: (Medieval)

I think this might be a classic case of pissing off the niche fan base with measures to attract a more mainstream audience -- same thing we saw happen with Apocalyptica.

Funny thing with Kaltenberg is, originally, they aimed at the typical Bavarian family with kids; then, they sorta got hijacked by the growing medieval fandom -- both the costumed lot and the 'black scene' that is into Corvus Corax.

And suddenly they have goths, Goths, vampires, werewolves and real ministry folk (remember year before last the time we went with the standing room tickets?!) on their hand. I think we scare them, and they want to re-mainstream themselves to people that drink more beer and don't cheer for the Black Knight.
