Meme, update, stuff & things
I hate Windows Vista! Here at the Indian Internet Café, the lame computers are running Vista now, and they are so slowwwwww it hurts. This one needs a minute to think about wheter to load a new screen, or reload a screen...
But I am glad this exists, anyway. Otherwise, I would have to bother Falk the Metropolitan more than I want to, or go very far just to get online for a little.
The upside of the Dead Goldfish Time is that I get to really pay lots and lots of attention to my cats. They like sitting on me undisturbed by typing, or playing with me for a long stretch of time at once.
Oh, and a meme from

Leave me a comment saying "Resistance is Futile."
I'll respond by asking you five questions so I can satisfy my curiosity
Update your journal with the answers to the questions

My questions and answers:
1) Favourite language; to read, to speak, and to listen to.
To read: English; to speak: German (is still easiest); to listen to: Hindi (I don't know it all that well, but it's a lovely language, especially when sentimental songs are sung in it. That extends to more classical songs and poems declaimed in Urdu, too, because those are basically the same language with some vocabulary differences, like, say, German and Austrian?
2) Favourite period in history.
The early 1900s up to World War I. So much was possible then; everythign that we are dealing with and thinking about nowadays was rooted in that period.
3) Favourite Original Character you've created (and someone else's, too, if you have one.).
My favourite OC among all those I have made up like, ever, is probably still Suvuk, the Vulcan OC on DS9 I made up for a fic I wrote in the early nineties while taking breaks from writing my final paper for University; much break-taking, not much paper-writing, but I was sitting at the computer all the time... He is sort of my recurrent character archetype of The Difficult One, an archetype that returns in almost everything I write. My favourite OC that has seen the light of the RPing days is Cindy in MM; she carried much plot in her time. Unfortunately, she has run out of it now. My favourite OC by somebody else (in RPage) is
essayel's Andy, no doubt about it; my favourite OC by somebody else that hasn't seen the light of day at all yet is Artabanes in
carolinw's WIP that I am sometimes betaing. There hasn't been anything new there recently, but I fear work has eaten her brains at the moment...
4) Where do all the dead goldfish go?.
Down the drain, of course.-
5) Where would you like to travel, that you haven't visited already?.
Mauritius. It's a bit complicated.-
