Running commentary -- Sherlock, second part

  • Awww Watson! "I'm not his date!" **giggles**
  • Real Life (TM) has no arch-enemies? And that's dull? Well, I have had arch-enemies, too. I guess I'm just not as tame as the good doctor. I don't have any at the moment, now. My last arch-enemy was Mr. L. the external IT goon. I still hate him like burning... /ramble
  • Aaaand the second time we leave Watson's POV and follow Holmes' amazing train of though. It's well done, but is it really necessary? We know he's Sherlock Holmes. We know he holds most of Google Maps in his brain.
  • Of course he was going to forget his cane, sooner or later. Holmes was right about the psychosomatic thing. The joke is quite arcane -- Sir Arthur Conan Doyle got mixed up about which of Watson's legs was injured, so it was the right one in some stories, the left in others. Moffat quite cleverly surmised it had to be psychosomatic.
  • Drugs bust! ROFL! So he does do cocaine after all?
  • Lestrade kicks lots of ass!
  • 'I'm a high-functioning sociopath, do your research!' ROFL! Yes, others remarked on that quip as well, but I find it funny, too!
  • So, and now we firmly left Watson with all the cops inside. Unless he came to the right conclusion (he is very clever, after all!) and is listening from some window.
  • That look of Holmes' says yes, he does, and Holmes is relying on it.
  • Oh he is listening via that cell phone!! Attaboy!
  • Oh no, trying the phone of the victim.
  • Now he got it!! Via the thinly veiled iPhone tracing tool, too.
  • It's spooky how comfy and reassuring the cabby's accent sounds. Nobody who talks like this could possibly...
  • The web site exists in a defictionalised state? **goes to look** Yep, exists. Under the URL they say in the show. Duh.
  • No way in hell would Watson get away with shooting the guy like that in today's Britain. No way in hell. Sorry, Moffat.
  • 'Moriarty'! Wow! So he is the overarching link between episodes, then?
  • They keep putting this blanket on him -- of course, Sherlock Holmes can't be shocked. Or rather, a sociopath can't.
  • Heeee Mycroft's female minion doesn't even remember him -- poor Watson. She is an impressive woman as such, and has no need to remember seemingly drab little men.
  • Oh that grin they share towards the end! The original Sherlock Holmes always seemed to me like somebody who hid in the basement when he absolutely had to laugh. This one does. I like him. I like them. I really do! Net Thursday evening shall be dedicated to the second episode (as before that, I will have the Little Lady with me), in addition to Mad Men 4.02
  • The BBC does make the best TV in the world, at the moment. Really!

And then, it stopped working. The bloody thing is unable to load anything that's longer that 72 minutes. Bloody brilliant. I won't be watching any more of this.- And on we go! Thanks very much for the help -- you know who you are!! **hugs**

**sigh**
