Sherlock, episode 3, running commentary

• The wall-shooting thing is straight from book canon.
• Yep, and Holmes' scathing comments on Watson's writing, too. The longer this goes on, the more natural it seems -- this IS Sherlock Holmes as his creator imagined him. Screw gas light and hansoms.
• The violin as an offensive weapon. Interesting.
• They all read Watson's blog -- so he's a very established presence there, now. This feels so totally true to canon, mutatis mutandis.
• I like how Watson gets to do things on his own now -- just as he does in the book canon, at times.
• Is Moriarty that girl?
• Oh fuuuuuuuuuck what an ending!!!
