Mad Men episode 4.06 -- the usual

First, let me say 'guh!' a lot while my Inner!Urq will be in his bunk:

Now that is out of the way, on to the spoilers, which I put down as I see them, as usual:
  • Some in jokes about awards, seeing this episode was aired last night, which was Emmy night.
  • Oh flashback! How Roger discovered Don as a fur coat salesman, and Roger and Joan when they started their affair. Something for the people who had wanted to have the Roger & Joan a scene by themselves at least once every episode.
  • Aha, Ken Cosgrove is going to be built up as an antagonist?
  • Everybody's holding Joan's hand with anticipation -- awwww!
  • Now, let's see if Don can finally break his spell of 'bad luck with women' with Faye.
  • Nope. Good-bye. He's lost it, apparently.
  • Why do they lock Peggy in a hotel room with that silly lech? He's a bloody menace!
  • Now they are what? Working in the nude to show how liberated they are? These people are crazy!!
  • Don is drunk and making a fool of himself. Again. Argh, damn, he's really getting worse from episode to episode. This is probably going to remain his only award, at this rate.
  • Ahhh at least there is some sort of advertising groupie throwing herself at him. Hopefully. The man needs some feeling of success right now to get himself out of that hole.
  • What? What? What is this blonde, why does she turn up instead of the brunette groupie, and why in blazes does she call him Dick? WTF??
  • How is it even physically possible that Betty gets more annoying and entitled by the episode? She had remained ambivalent and interesting until the end of last season, and has been going steeply downhill ever since.
  • On a purely superficial note, I want that blue sofa outside the glass tank, erm, conference room. Just not in blue but, say, medium brown or dark beige?
  • Speaking of blue-grey vs. beige, what's this with Ken Cosgrove and Pete mirroring each other, down to the tie, only one is wearing grey and blue, the other beige with a hint of yellow?
  • Oh so THAT is why Don never had a contract at Sterling Cooper! He basically hired himself and just turned up at work, telling Roger he'd hired him when he hadn't, but had been too drunk to remember. Let's see what happens with that very short fellow.-
