Firefly is pure GENIUS. Have you seen Serenity yet? Brilliant. I actually prefer the series to the film, but thats only cos i didn't want it to end.
Do you mean Jayne (can't remember if hes the one with the beard?). If so he is great. HAve you seen teh episode where they go to the little town where he became and accidental hero? Fantastic.
I'll watch all the episodes I can get at first (the Metropolitans' DVDs are a bit borked), and then I'll watch 'Serenity'. And nah, I didn't see that episode yet - I hope it didn't fall prey to the borkedness. It sounds like fun.
Firely is kick ass. Joss Whedon is GOD. All bow to his greatness. And oh the series is sooo much better than the film in my opinion. And better on dvd than it was on tv cuz they didn't show the first few eps in the right order on tv and...yeah... long story.
I'd copy my dvds for you hon but there's that whole region code crap.
The series is better than the movie, because the series is those small, cynical, rather funny stories, and the movie is Big Stuff of a kind that doesn't really suit that crew.
And I'll simply tell Falk the Metropolitan that his DVDs are borked, and he'll have to get them again from that online service where he rents his DVDs, and this time around, get the menus as well. Without the menus, each DVD plays exactly one episode; you can do that with a movie that's one per disc, but not a series...
