Kitchen pictures

I spent all day cleaning and tidying and washing windows and doing lots of stuff I had put off. Listening to Alan Parsons Project all the time; it is an excellent soundrack for getting things done. A certain helpful large feline has supplied me with their entire catalogue; I haven't even listened to half of it yet.

And when I was finished, I took pictures of my kitchen because I'd been talking about how well terracotta and blue go together to [livejournal.com profile] essayel the other day while our charries Charlie and Marvin were making a mosaic in that colour together - she said she liked the combination, and I said I had it in my kitchen - the terracotta has been there since the 80s, and the Matropolitans had supplied the blue cabinet fronts when I moved in, and the overall effect is very pleasing. Today, the place was finally clean enough to take pictures of it that are, in fact, pleasing to the eye.

What can I say by way of comment? It's my kitchen, it's terracotta and blue, and yes, I do drink that much coffee - it's not just character bleed from [livejournal.com profile] asar_suti .

And I keep funny brushes that are little people and a duckie, too... *blushes*

Well, those are now illegal in FL. If you are building a foundation home, you have to use steel reenforcements now. It jacks up the price of such houses, but they meet the new hurricane building codes. Took them long enough to institute them.

Woot! I saw. I am sorry I haven't tagged him yet. This weekend has been shit on me. In fact, I am falling asleep at the damn keyboard. Spent the last two days cleaning and cooking or being outside. *yawns* Next weekend we'll be having guests, so I'll end up spending a lot of this upcoming week cleaning more so the house looks really nice when they come by.
