3. Take their "Career Matchmaker" questions.
4. Post the top ten results.

2. Set Designer

3. Costume Designer -- that's what nazgulwears does, at lest on an informed amateur level. And only part of the time. I've done costuming as well - see our nun costumes! Each of us made her own, but the Nazgul worked out and researched the principle.

5. Special Effects Technician

6. Desktop Publisher -- I have dabbled in this one! And was paid for it!

7. Cartoonist / Comic Illustrator

10. Fashion Designer

18. Artist -- dabbled in this one

20. Writer -- never stopped dabbling in this one

21. Critic --  I actually get paid for this at times, but I can write only good things about the books as they're paid PR articles on those free little magazines you get in book shops.

22. Computer Animator -- I do animated gifs, not more

27. Historian -- I translate articles for historians, actually

28. Musician -- I sang in a church choir once, but can't even read sheet music properly, so, ugh, no!!

30. Translator -- I do earn part of my money with this one

37. Computer Network Specialist -- this is what's actually on my job contract

40. Industrial-Organizational Psychologist -- I dabble in that. Sort of.

I only have costume designer on 11. But I also got magician on my list. :-D
The top one is stylist and if that means chosing clothes, hairstyle and makeup for other people then I would be one of the worst stylists ever!
Or I'd just make them wear wizard robes.
Nr. 2 is craftsperson though wich is pretty much what I am doing. :-)

Is there a disproportionate amount of movie and theatre careers on those lists, or is it just that that sort of people on my flist has taken that test?

I think it's because you can tick that box that says "I like very much" - and the drama/music/movies one was about the only one where I'm sure I really do. Probably like that with most of us. ;-)
