I'm a cured mummy-phobic and occasionally go see some to renew desensibilisation. Phobias are nothing but mental/emotional allergies, i.e., natural reactions miswired to inappropriate triggers, and they get treated the same as the more harmless among physical allergies. So, it isn't only ghoulish glee that drives me to especially stop my journey and meet some dried corpses.-

Ooh, I LOVE that design. Maybe the main page is TOO pink, but the sub-pages in different colors are nice and the design.... GREAT work. Of course, I always say that Germans are the leaders in web site design :)

The design may be nice - but the colour is offensive!!

And really - those white letters in a brightly coloured background are a bit cruel and rather overdesigned. Any design that gets in the way of content, however original, is Not Good.-

I love the fact that mummification can happen in dry cellars... reminds me of the MM Mummy.... *grins*

Plus, you have my abject apologies hun, but, desensibilisation? I think perhaps (having giggled some at that, because I had this picture of Andras wibbling madly at a mummy and thought, nah, he doesn't need any more desensibilising), that you meant desensitisation?

As for the MM mummy - yep, of course I had taken that into account. Actually, what most inspired the 'corpse stuck in air vent and dried out' was the rat and cat from an organ pipe in Dublin...

Ooh? Rat and Cat in an organ pipe? Interesting, I guess the cat was chasing the rat and got stuck? Won't catch Palug doing that, although, my Shabba was today playing with a lolly stick, you know the round white ones out of Chupa Chups? It was being tossed all over the lounge rather frantically and he really made me laugh.

I can just see him getting stuck in an organ pipe though.... he's daft enough. Although he has this really nice new trick of crawling under my duvet at night and curling up next to me. Which is great, because he's warm and fluffy to hug, gently of course!

Yes exactly - the cat chased the rat up the organ pipe and they both got stuck, and the air going through the organ when it was played dried them out.
