Avoid the fish called 'hoki'. It may be very exotic, and have come exactly halfway around the world, but all it tastes of is disgusting fishiness. Even nice lemon sauce can't save it. It is ick. Avoid.-

Cooked. That wasn't the problem. It is just simply very evil fish.

ceitfianna who lives in New Zealand said it is just dory, when caught in New Zealand. I can't remember having had dory, either (too not North Sea to be sold much in Germany, I suppose), but I think I'll err on the side of caution and avoid dory, too...
