Tarot seems to work in RL
One sample is, of course, not enough. But I get the faint suspicion that my tarot seems to work in RL as well.
Last night, at the office dinner thing, I had been telling the people around me at the table about my wonderful pretty icon tarot deck; today, I took it to work in my backpack and sent an email to the three people that had sat next to me, and opposite, and told them 'I might accidentally have my tarot on me today and might be willig to let you admire that beautiful golden deck'.
The first has been here just now. After showing the cards to him (and fishing out the cover card that had been hiding among the regular cards, and dragging out the King of Wands from where he'd been hiding behind the booklet, since the last online IC use of the deck, which was Tower speaking to Tonio), I just handed him one at random from the well-shuffled deck -- just as Tower or Manny had done IC-ly.
It was the Seven of Wands.
Now, I didn't make much of it along the lines of a reading; I merely consulted the booklet to say which saint it was (I don't know the saints and situations on the Minor Arcana by heart yet) -- it is Saint Demetrius fighting the Antichrist. Somebody has had it before -- I don't remember whether in Milliways or in the Manor. But that colleague of mine, he's a bit belligerent, pugnacious even, but very sensible, too -- tilting worthy windmills, you might say. Seven of Wands is him to a tee.-

I just had the second person of the three turn up for my icon tarot. She already expected to be given a card (the other bloke must have told her, and also that he sort of got himself) so she actually came with an issue -- today being an important day where something relevant is going to be decided. She got the Nine of Pentacles; King Salomon, in the icon tarot deck. She left joyful and full of hope.
One assumes it will inspire her with the self-confidence to achieve that unnamed thing she is facing.-
