Cameo of Eirene

Hei, homicidalfink, I finally managed to scan the Roman cameo of Eirene:



The stripes weren't there originally; that ancient scanner produces some horrible moiré patterns. I'm going to combat that at home, where I have PSP; here at work I only have paint.net, and while it is good enough for manipping tesserae, it doesn't have a moiré filter.

I'll ping you about an email address tonight, and then you can have a de-moiré'd high-res version of her, from which you can properly icon. Period icons of one's charries are always fun; I have the one for which I manipped the tesserae, after all.-

paint.net is what i use, only for the purpose that it's easy to understand and i don't have the funding for psp yet... one day though

PSP does lots of nifty things; and you don't even need the newest version. It's at 9 now, and I am still using 7. Before that, I had 3.12 for about a decaded. That was the last version which still ame as shareware without a self-destruct feature.

I agree completely, period stuff is fantastic.

I'm so happy with the statue icon I made for Demeter though what's fun with her is there is also a lot of slightly more modern artwork too.

While Eirene is much rarer, so I hope Kati has a use for her, despite the persisten moiré. No amount of fiddling and deinterlacing gets those bands away.
