Kaltenberg again -- mostly forge pictures

There was that brat pulling the bellows this time. For a brat, that was really hard work; the beam went askew with every pull, and that brat had to hang on with all his might to move the big bellows. It gave me ideas. There is a virtual brat that deserves pulling bellows for a while...

Look at the nozzle from the bellows, and the way it's attached to the forge from below.

The brat pulling even harder -- that is WORK!

They had this array of a bull's skull and an old axe. In the background: sometimes the forge helper had to hang on to the anvil so it doesn't move while something is wrenched around it.

That battle axe seems to have seen battle or something -- rusty, and with lots of dents.

Middle Asian steppe barbarian, or one pretending to be one...

An now, some cat pictures:

More schnorgling

Fior such a cute little thing, Mephi is remarkably un-photogenic. He looks like a strangely stripey little monkey.

The forge photos are great! That child certainly is earning his keep.

Now, as for YOUR children, well they are just adorable and earn their's by being so cute! I understand about the challenges of photographing a black kitty. Sofie never, ever looks as adorable in her photos as she really is. Her blackness just soaks up all the light :)

Yes, with Madam Wiebke's improving financial outlook, it does look like we will be planning a trip soon. I can't wait to see the little black devil with the silvery blue eyes.
