This is definitely the last one for this year! Yesterday was the last day of the market and tournament. I was there with my mother and the Little Lady, which is the only reason why I went to a day event. Too many mundane punters, too many kids, for my taste. But there was one great advantage I hadn't thought of -- daylight tournaments are well-lit! We finally have our own pictures from the show itself.
Every year, there are special beer steins in which they sell the beer or other drinks. I insisted we drink enough -- one of the steins contained mineral water, the other shandy!
And to prove one really paid the refund, one gets a refund coin. The ones in Kaltenberg are coppery and quite elaborate.
There are musicians on many stages all over the place.
The Little Lady and me listening to said music.
OF COURSE the Little Lady wanted one of those late medieval headdresses!
Jugglers throwing fire on another stage, around a hapless punter who looks rather skeptical...
My mother watching the juggling -- see the camp in the woody part in the background. That was where the ferret was the first time.
Lots and lots of fascinated kids, the Little Lady in their midst.
Smithy. He was making spearheads (?) that day...
The snake he'd made on Tuesday, what with wrenching the metal around the horns on the anvil.

It was far rom sold out -- look at all those empty seats in Block H!
The Black Knight appears! In daylight, the blue lights and smoke don't work that impressively in daylight.

The stunt show part of the show -- all sorts of horseback stunts. Impressive horses, impressive stunts, impressive blokes!

The Black Knight has lost, and lies in the dust of the arena.
The Black Knight's followers carry his 'corpse' away.

Afterwards -- all the 'knights' at the photo op. The Black Knight is at the front right.

Afterwards, kids could absolve 'tests' and be 'knighted' -- here, it is the Little Lady's turn.
One of the blokes from Corvus Corax, gesticulating at somebody in the middle of the market. They just wander around and are mostly left alone. He is my favourite among them, so I couldn't resist taking his picture...

And yes, the Little Lady was wearing that white, grey and aqua top, so of course a pink headdress was totally out of the question! She's nine; she is developing a doog taste. She makes nice dolls with the dollmaker as well:
