In case you are wondering (as I was) -- THIS is Joe the Plumber that they talked about in the debate last night. His last name is really Wurzelbacher, which is probably why none of the candidates attempted to pronounce it.

'Wurzelbacher' isn't that hard to pronounce. I went to school with a few Wurzelbachers.
...Which makes me wonder if Joe the Plumber is in the area somewhere.
(Also, McCain did have a go at pronouncing it, but he failed so miserably I had no idea what he was going for till I saw it written down.)

Obama talked to him about tax plans last Sunday at a rally in Toledo, Ohio, and it was caught on camera; Wurzelbacher seems to have walked away unconvinced.

carolinw said somebody tried to pronounce the name on the radio this morning (she's in Kentucky), and the result was adventuresome, to say the least.-

Ah. That's upstate from me; I'm down near Cincinnati.
And - it shouldn't be that hard a name for people to wrap their minds around, but people have mucked up simpler names before, so.

He looks very similar; that's right!
