Halloween -- coming and going

My ex-cousin-in-law lives at the back of beyond with her new bloke, especially for a flat within the city limits of Munich. So, the Nazgul and I  had to walk quite a bit from the tube station, until we got there.

On the way there, we met a cat. It was a very young cat, smaller than Mephisto, and a tabby with the most unusual pattern -- three fat straight lines down the back, and then many big stripes perfectly perpendicular to it on its flanks. We wondered whether it was a were-cat, and had worn a stripey jersey when it changed.-

On the way back, we happened to peer over a cemetary wall and admire the 19th century statues and monuments precisely when it was midnight. On Halloween! How fitting. We hurried on, though, not becausae we were scared, but because weirdly dressed shapes eyeing a cemetary at midnight on Halloween might arouse some misgivings...

If you make it to London, and don't know of it already, I recommend checking out Abney Park cemetary. It's now disused but still has some wonderful old buildings and is all overgrown. Their website is awful, and isn't any guage of how beautiful the place is.

The only problem with Abney is it's in a weird area of London, which you don't quite think you're in the right place if you arrive by train, but once you're inside, there are parts where you can't even hear the traffic even though the entrace next to a main road.
