I post more, not less...
... now that I can take my EEE on a holiday. And ahhh, this is a holiday! I would not ever have taken it, or thought I'd ever go here, if it wasn't for the wedding; but now I am here, I am loving it in and of itself.
Today, I rented a bicycle and went to look at the City Museum and the Roman city walls. There had been a Roman provincial town named Emona here that was destroyed by the Huns, and then sort of was on hiatus until Slavs arrived in the late sixth century after this was no longer part of the Ostrogoth realm.
But it was definitely part of the province Illyria while that existed. I think there were border skirmishes on occasion. There were border skirmishes all the time, either with some outlying Byzantine allies, Sarmatians, or other unnamed barbarians.
I think I feel some story coming on...

Was Teja poking your brain again?

And then, I had a brain rush as to why he would be there, and what would be the plottish point of the story, so it wouldn't be just a general 'Teja goes to Emona' kind of tale. I'm letting it ferment now, and one day, it shall come forth!
