Guilty pleasures

WTF has got into me? The weekend so far has been dedicated to total indulgence, luxury, and the enjoyment of things one should not own up to:


  • Yesterday, I sat about in a cafĂ© drinking white wine spritzer, enjoying a book by Laurell K. Hamilton, and watching people.
  • I drank a bottle of 'champagne' (domestic sekt) all by myself, with liberal amounts of elderberry juice mixed in. I was given it for my birthday from the slavery, and one should never drink bubbly by oneself! But I did! With costly organic vitamins in it!
  • A few weeks ago, I had ordered customised chocolate at a chocolate customising site. This morning, it arrived! Five bars of dark dark chocolate with pine nuts, sea salt, dried sour cherries, basil, and organic hemp leaves. Yes, leaves! It tastes wonderful, even though I doubt anybody except me could even eat it, let alone like it. The freebie is poppy seed and tiny chilies.
  • Then (and now it crosses from the embarrassing to the shameful) I bought the latest album by Carla Bruni on iTunes, and started listening to it while eating that chocolate and reading 'Micah'. How decadent can I be?
  • Then I felt drowsy, and had a nap, falling asleep while pondering what I will write for my 28 flavours fics. I have ideas for everything claimed so far.
  • Then Sal came online, and we started plotting a bigass kickass plot for Morningstar Manor. We have chances for all your pups to be involved (if you have any in the Manor), so ping us! It is juicy and has all the things you want in a suspense plot, and may have come to expect from the Manor. Sasha definitely gets a part in it (if her mun wants it), and Seph as well (ditto)!
  • Now, I am thinking of going shopping -- need to get some fudz for the weekend as usual, but perhaps I'll find an endangered species to feed to my cats while I'm at it, or wine shipped around half the world to drink tonight...

Oh, is it ever!

I didn't find any endangered species, but now I am sharing some mild chorizo with the cats. They LURVE it!

I think that counts as decadent...

Today's decadence for me? A day of doing absolutely NOTHING I didn't want to. Which meant I spent most of the day doing nothing, and enjoying it! I played some sims 2, some DS Games (DragonQuest - Chapters of the Chosen mostly), ate food I wanted, drank much tea, and generally lolled around the place.

Tomorrow? Housework and laundry day! But fancied something lovely for dinner so went to Morrisons, because I wanted to, and did the grocery shop while I was there picking up a lovely pizza and some garlic bread for dinner. My son is having hot dogs, so I got him some rolls as well, and a bottle of White Grenache for me to sip my way through this evening.... and then, the final decadence.....

PLOTS?!?!?!? Wheeee!

I have three bottles of cidre -- one for tonight, two to share with the Nazgul tomorrow.

And plots, yes. It's the plot we were gnawing at for a while, but now we sort of bit off a big bit. I think we can very much use an Icene at some stage...

I love days where you can do whatever you want! I'm such a procrastinator that I hardly ever get them (at least not without the guilt of not doing things I should be doing).

And I would love to know more about this anyone-could-be-involved plot! Suspense sounds awesome. I want in!

Oh, there were enough things I should have been doing or could have been doing; I just didn't do them, and was endlessly decadent instead. I think having something in the background one isn't doing is one of the secrets of true laziness. If there wasn't anything to do, one could just get bored too easily.

As for the plot: parts of it are going to take part on and underneath Vine Square, so yes, there definitely is something for you and your charries to do.-

It'll be about the dorms that are getting converted at Rutherford university; well, at least a part of the puzzle is there.
