That's one of the tree pictures in our room; it is a photograph!! It was made by a local artist/photographer by name of Pan Walther who took mostly pictures of trees all his life. I really, really wonder how it was done, technically...

In any case, I like this better than the Warhol, and the Haring on the loo...

Ooo! I know this one! After you develop the film and are actually transferring the image onto the photo paper, you overexpose the paper by flashing the light through the film a little longer than you normally would. Then you develop as usual. I did a whole series like that in college.

And I LOVE that photo...it's beautiful!

That one is actually reversed. (Headdesks as she looks more carefully at it) I know I learned to do it other than in Photoshop, but I've forgotten exactly how. Same idea of overexposure, though.
