My snow day, let me show it you

That's not very snowy, is it? Even the poor Brits with their stolen Gulf Stream would go to work in that weather, wouldn't they?
Yep. So would I.
But when I got to the train station, public transport had different ideas. Trains were cancelled or unaccountably late, on account of that eternal rail point at Munich East which has been bugging us ever since I started needing to use that line (almost ten years now!) being on the fritz again.
But it's worse;

So I called my top boss, found out that Spontaneous Elusive Guy (I will now call my colleagues names following the naming convention established by

So, I feel accomplished without even going in to the office. One day, I will work in a ROWE. Somewhere. Then such questions wouldn't friggin' arise at all.
Anyway, you should have seen Lucifer staaaaaaare at me from the armrest of his big easy chair, where he was sitting watching the snow, when I walked back into the courtyard after about an hour's absence (had taken the opportunity to at least get groceries and do errands in walking distance) and waved to him from down there. But he's not upset; he got some minced meat (the cats always get some shreds if I'm having any, so they love me making banana chili as much as people do), then beat up Mephi (who will have deserved it, the little stinker -- he always does!), and is now sleeping peacefully beside me on the divan while Mephi is sleeping peacefully on the red poof that Lucifer was beating him off from in the first place -- oops, something must have gone wrong there, somehow! Maybe Mephi is simply cleverer and more tenacious, with a longer attention span. I always have to clip his claws first, because if I do Lucifer first, Mephi realises that he's up next, and hides for a remarkably long time. I may forget about my evil designs on his claws before he comes out of hiding, even. That's the kind of attention span he has. So, being beaten off, distracting Lucifer, waiting until he happens to roll up somewhere else, then retake the sleeping place he wanted in the first place? That is totally something Mephisto does.
I, in the meanwhile, am making AU Urquhart icons. The PB no longer wears his hair long but looks still damn handsome with short silvery hair at fifty-something; he's the same excellent mid-late 1950s vintage as are some of my favourite people of all times, too -- Thomas the Metropolitan, for example. Well, anyway, Thomas has grown old (says Sphinx, who hadn't seen him for over ten years), and so has Vladimir Kulich -- who is nevertheless still damn hot. The character headvoice has been nagging me for some time claiming that these pictures would allow him to translate very easily into an OC NPC for Morningstar Manor, and I have been saying no because I actually try and not have even vaguely fandom-inspired characters (which one can't keep up, but one can veil it -- nobody would guess either Schnozzle and Ricky are translated fandom charries, one way or another, to say nothing about Lajos who came to MM after going through about four permutations that took him further and further away from the original fandom charrie I had started out from). But now there may be plot; I have ideas brewing in my brains about how Urquhart can come to The City to work his contract killer mayhem there, and in the end maybe end up killed? Anybody want to push him off Pangolin Tower? There's a few charries in MM that are kickass enough to kill Urquhart, after all. He might have to get another Scottish clan name he uses as his only name, how about Cameron? The Cameron tartan is so cheerful it gives you a toothache, while the Urquhart tartan is much more subdued and classy, but who says I have to use the tartan at all? Urquhart shortens to Urq (as crackchat has established), Cameron would shorten to Cam, so if I do have to change his name for appearances' sake, we're all good.
Also, mobile phone. Morningstar Manor charries all need phone icons. He can have one that way. How can I possible resist?

You do do the double dash up there as well -- a device I am quite fond of.
