Rollerderby is getting popular in Berlin; it's getting here!

I'll go watch a bout as soon as we get one in Munich...

Rollerderby is really big here; I even have a couple of coworkers at the university who play in Atlanta Rollergrrls as their hobby. I keep being told I'd love it and would be a good player. Supposedly it's the kind of thing you can enjoy despite the fact it's exercise and hard work. The skating rink is even right in the city on a bus line! Alas I don't think I have the time or the willingness to get bruises. I do want to go watch some matches one day!

It's really come back over on this side of the pond: I have friends in Louisiana, Chicago, and New York who all took up roller derby and love it!
