1. Why is it March 6th and snowing like that? I know, I know, it did so a few years ago, too. That's no reason to do it now. However, I did most of my shopping yesterday (just want to go to the eco-supermarket and satisfy my curiosity about washnuts), and on Tuesday, when I was in the laundrette, some guru said on the radio that there would be snow on the weekend, but right after that spring will really come. So there is hope.-

2. Why are some of the best and most universally appealing posts that turn up on my flist invariably flocked? No, I don't mean you -- apart from the part where you write like a young goddess, too, and have really interesting stories to tell. But really, the things that languish in obscurity there -- moving, funny, brilliant, quotable things only given to a choice few! Okay, I flock music posts and suchlike, too. But for some reason, some of the best posts from the best bloggers on my flist are flocked. It's like going, 'Oooooooh look at the shiny -- erm, not.'

3. Why is everybody travelling all over the place this weekend? The Nazgul is in a kendo camp and communicating via text massaging in the breaks (including the very tipsy ones last night, from drinking with the sensei), in addition to everybody in Milliways traipsing around for reasons of spring break.

I wondered how you knew the best were flocked until I realised, duh. I happen to have just read a post about a poll that showed after recent events the majority of LJ-DW posters put all their deeper thoughts under flock now.

Oh, ah, just looked out the window, vertical snowish sleet. Sadly no shopping, LJ all day *sucks arm*

Actually, there was a flocked post on my flist today that I found quite amazing, thought of sending the Nazgul a mail with the link, then realised that is was flocked, and I didn't need to bother.

And then I realised that something like that had happened more than once recently.

Yes, that's what I guessed. And agree that it might often be a loss. Though sometimes they might unflock if asked.

Oh, it was just something moving about an old couple, and a nicely old-fashioned way of doing business. But I liked it, and would have pointed certain people to it, apart from the flock.-

The snow is pretty and I'm home from traveling since Michigan has a really early Winter Break.

Also I tend not to flock things just because I figure if I'm writing it online, then its pretty much public anyways.

At least you are there! I think I'm going to ask you for thread later. Teja can do with either somebody to talk things over with, or with distraction. Urquhart can probably do with a good talking-to from somebody as well, while he's in the cells and can't walk out.-

I flock posts that are overly personal, not because I worry about LJ but because my LJ posts are automatically reposted to Facebook, where my coworkers could find them. So my post about dogs and cats that begins with how "like with people I go both ways" -- I don't need my whole office reading that, in that context :) I keep as much as I can out in the open but talking about sex, porn, bitching about works, etc. - flocked :)

Ahhh, Facebook. I don't do Facebook. I see mo reason for it.

And I'm more compartmentalised than that, personally. Non of my cow-orkers knows even one of my blogs. Sphinx knows the German one and the DreamWidth one (for reposting of picture posts), and the rest of my relatives aren't internet savvy enough to even care. The Nazgul, of course, knows it all.-
