Books
(ganked from
cob_web)
1. What was the last book you bought (for yourself, not a gift)?
The "Discworld (Reformed) Vampyres' Diary 2003"
2. What was the last book you borrowed from a library, and when was that?
Oooh. Ages ago. No idea any more.
3. Your favorite bookstore?
"Hugendubel am Stachus" here in Munich. Unless you count Amazon...
4. Last book you slogged all the way through even though it was hard to read?
Cyriacos Markides, "The Mountain of Silence". He so does repeat himself, and sometimes is too naive for words. But there are such gems hidden in his blather.
5. Worst film adaptation of a book you've ever seen?
Seven Years In Tibet. It so bloody f*ing loses.
6. Book you're just waiting for, that you will buy as soon as it's published?
Storm Constantine, "The Shades of Time and Memory" and Terry Pratchett, "Going Postal". Which means: the next canon installments of my two major fandoms.
7. The last time you gave a book as a gift, what was it, and to whom did you give it?
A cookbook on waffles, to my sister, for Christmas.
8. If you had to move right now, are there any books you'd probably sell or donate so you wouldn't have to move them?
Definitely. Things do accrete around me. And some books really aren't very good. I so know that I could do better, in many instances - even if that might sound rather stuck-up.
