Because it's Sunday (or for some other arcane feline reason), Lucifer let Mephi have the leftover milk in my cereal bowl today.



Even for a little black furry creature, life isn't always shitty.


Looking at some of the fugly overdone bathrooms on the 'Home Sweet Home' tumblr, I think my sitting corner amply qualifies as awesome living space, so I took some pictures. Now, these are already the best ones, but I'm not quite decided which angle to submit.

Help me, flist, tell me which of these looks most awesome and apt to impress a big busy interior design comm:

Unfortunately, the limitations of my room are such that I can't step or lean back far enough to get both the Aphrodite and all the icons on one picture, or I would have done that.

I would say 1 or 3. I love the colours in 3 - the purples and gold and the warm wood.

I think 3, but its a shame that lovely portrait head couldn't be into it. I hear you on odd angles. My place is full of them.

Sofie has never been one for drinking the milk - in my case, of the soy variety - but Phoebe waits patiently each morning until I finish my cereal, then licks the bowl dry and eats the leftover oat flecks. She's crazy :)

You'll see it in person in November! Once I turned the shelf, and then when I painted the wall, the room finally came together.

I'd been resenting this new place for not being the old place, and putting down roots took time.

Oops, and I will be the odd one out and vote for 2 - if only because I find that it best illustrates the space you have created using the shelf. It also shows the sun flare, but it's not overpowering.

If I had a second choice, it would be #1 because I love aphrodite!

I already submitted 3, and am waiting to hear back from them (or not). Now you say it, I'd take 2, as you're the expert at such things, and I do like to listen to experts. That's why one asks them.-

But it's not really important. It's not as if anything was riding on it. It's just a bit of vanity on my part.
