Ten students from Rutherford on a ski hiking tour in the mountains in winter, something strange to discover on the way, and then one of them turns back, and the rest vanish from the radar. In this day and age of cell phones and GPS, the search would start much earlier.
I don't know how much we'd want to go for an explanation or context. And I don't know that we want to kill off all of them...
OOooh yeah, that sounds good. And yeah, we maybe don't want to kill all of them. That might be a little mean. Do we want to have actual played pups in on this? Or just NPCs?
If they are just NPCs, nobody will care enough. And we won't guarantee that none of them gets killed. After all, I have quite the track record at killing pups in MM.
But the main plot part would probably be the search, and the investigation. We can involve everybody's police and journalist pups, in addition to the people who care, and people who think they can see dead people. Also, with students missing in the mountains, there will be that sustained feeling of crisis that keeps people on their toes during an emergency, and that will give everybody something to talk about.

Seriously though, who needs horror flicks when stuff that like happens in RL? O_o

Now I am wondering how to turn that into a plot line for Morningstar Manor...

And oooh, it would be marvellous as a plot for MM.
