My cats use their paws as hands. Mephisto fishes pieces of dry food from the bowl, like a human fishing for popcorn while watching a movie.  Lucifer nudges me in the side when I am typing and ought to be rubbing his chin instead. Mephisto puts his paw on my shoulder, stands on his hind legs and pushes his little black nose in my face, purring. That mostly means he's brought me something to throw for him to play fetch with. Lucifer covers his eyes with his paws sometime when sleeping in daytime.-

Sevvie does too, he will fish wet food from a can if I leave it lying around!

I don't leave open cans around because I don't want to start imagining the mess my cats would make while trying to get at the fudz.

I have a special lid to put on any half-empty can, and then it goes to the fridge. I take it out a bit before feeding because Lucifer doesn't like his food cold (Mephisto doesn't mind), but they leave it alone, because the lid is tight and keeps the smell in.
