Not expecting a concrete answer in any pre-defined context; I am just asking the question of the universe at large and will wait to see what comes back...
Well, I selfishly hope this season hurries up and changes.
I'm not altogether sure what happened. All I did was bend down to pick some shirts off the floor and I seem to have pulled something in my hip. I've had problems with my hips for a while now (especially the left one which is the one that's hurt now). Yesterday it was a definite muscle sort of pain but this morning it seems to have settled into the hip joint, which is much more common for me. Basically I seem to be fine as long as I don't move suddenly or walk. Hmm, too bad walking is pretty essential.
So do I, Mercredi. And I can try and do my part for it, too. I can't complain when I'm at fault myself.-
Ahh, what you're describing sounds a bit like lumbago, actually. This sudden bolt when bending down is typical. In German, it's called "Hexenschuss" ("witch's shot") because of that sudden effect. Keep it warm, if it's too painful take a bit of ibuprofene (as in Advil), and perhaps try a salve that heats up the area and slightly irritates the skin above where the pain is; that actually helps.
Right, except in in my hip rather than my lower back. I took a really, really hot bath this morning and a couple of Motrin (it was what we had on hand) and I've felt fine ever since then. *knock on wood* Paul wants to put IcyHot on it too, but then I also think he has ulterior motives for that.
Lumbago can strike anwhere in that region, really. And I think that IcyHot (whatever that is precisely) sounds like a good idea, ulterior motives or no. Do it; you'll feel better.
