To be read stacks

I said my stack of unread books was about to reach to orbit of Pluto? Here is pictorial proof.

On top of my low shelf.

By my divan. There are two more books underneath I didn't catch. I did read the Abhorsen Chronicles, but am keeping them at hand for threading.

The walk-through cubbyhole for the cats (which they prefer to walk through rather than around the case) has some books in as well. The two bottom ones are different versions of Urquhart's canon I keep at hand.

The back of the shelf on the second picture -- most of these books are canon I am keeping handy, but some of it is unread as well.

And then there are some in the bookcase in the kitchen as well. Actually, I put them in there when I moved in and as they are out of sight, I didn't manage to read them yet...

And a picture of today's coffee and cake, to make people envious. You know who you are...

And it'll drop on you like a 1 t weight ... in the shape of a big fat cake. Sweet death!

Yay for cake!

My TBR pile isn't too bad since I went digital. I've got 2 pdfs left to read for review, half a dozen free reads that don't inspire me but I'll get to eventually and 3 or 4 that I've bought that are doing their best to distract me. I've ODed this week on [livejournal.com profile] charliecochrane's books and that cut the pile down a bit.

No canon required. It's quite a nice feeling to be able to call it 'historical research' instead. Like the dollar/GBP exchange rate in 1880 etc.

I like your stacks and shelves.

How many versions of Teja's canon do you have? Also I have the second Steampunk Anthology done by those same people if you ever want to borrow it. I won a steampunk box from Tor and that was in it though I like the Steampunk Prime anthology better as it has stories from the start of the century.

Oh and X-Men made me so happy, a good movie and James McAvoy continues to be awesome.

I might ping you at some point for help in figuring out some Abhorsen stuff as Sam is going to get out into canon this week.

There are 5 TBR stacks on my bedroom floor and two plastic under-bed boxes of TBR books in the garage. And that's just what's accessible.

(I will NEVER get through them all and there's NEW stuff coming out this summer too...)

I want to read them. But there's... work and going places and chores and sleeping...
