Bang!

I woke last night at five from a huuuuge bang that sounded like the end of the world. It was raining horribly outside, so I assumed that some lightning had struck very close. Befuddled, I got up and zombied into the bathroom, where two very spooked cats joined me to huddle with me, worried that we might get fried, drownded, or both.

Then, a second bang! And what do the wee beasties do?

Race into the kitchen and staaaaaare out of the window to see whether anything is happening there!

Yeah, it's here now. Didn't even wait till Saturday - the moment I got out of the office building, the constant sunshine turned into stormy drizzel.

I checked the forecast: sunny tomorrow, rain cold grey storm on saturday. Not funny anymore. I'm already stuck to tumblr again with nothing good to do.

Are we all set to start reading tomorrow? (I have THREE books to finish, but it is a looooooooooooooooooooooooong plane trip with lots and lots of layovers in the airport, so I anticipate being able to get through them).

Yes!!! I made a post on thronathon to remind everyone, too. I haven't quite finished the Tolstoy, but that's all little short stories that will keep.

I'll meet up with the Nazgul tomorrow to get tickets for a football match online (looooong complicated story), but other than that, I have nothing to do except read.

She has a twilight character in Milliways that some of mine have interacted with occasionally, but who I really like is Star. Unfortunately, we haven't seen he in a long time as most of the other tarot cards aren't active at the moment.

Not even my own Tower. Playing Tower requires total surrender of my brainmeats, and that can get scary.

I have a rather large number of them, actually. Nine, which is a bit alarming, as the upper limit is ten. I think I'll get rid of two during the next apping cycle.

It's a special kind of "microfiber" (we've had it in Canada for years) that is used for dusting.

No idea how it works.

But they are currently covered in hair so it is doing something! :)

When I am rich, I want one of those cordless vacs that travels about while you are out of the house, sucking all the hair up. :)

Oh yes! I think my cats would be amused by it. Unless it's loud; then they'd probably be scared. Mine are very scared by the hoover.

Actually I have several friends with one. Cats ADORE them!

Even kittens ride around on them.
