My huge red coward

We had painters invade the balconies this morning to repair minor damages in the outside paint.

I didn't like it at all because I didn't have to work today, planned to sleep in to help deal with my leftover lurgy, and woke to some shadow rustling and humming on the other side of my bedroom window, which was ajar. Of course, my Gothic drapes were down, but it was bad enough -- I fled from my room as soundlessly as I could and hid in the bathroom, where the cats were already hiding out, scared witless by the apparition on our balcony. Mephi was cowering and hissing desperately, and Lucifer squeezed beneath the cabinet under the sink.

It took him hours to get back to normal, poor cat. He clung to me all afternoon and evening and only consented to leave my side when I filled the cat bowl with unscheduled gooshy food.-

Aww, poor kitties, there were strangers in their world.

It's the yellow eyed demon!

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!

Meanwhile, my cute kittie made the trip to his new home in Fort Worth. His new mama raced home from work armed with bottles, supplement and one of every kind of toy to meet him.

Another happy ending. :)

Awww, poor shiny-eyed ginger kitty! I hope he's forgotten all the terror already. Gooshy food helps, I'm sure.

Our kitty's been having problems. I worry about him.

This might sound silly but the last invasion - electricians, three (3) months (months) - resulted in me standing on the fifth floor of a completely blacked out building with no idea how to get out ie. down the stairs. So better test that balcony before stepping back onto it *sarcastically serious*

Awww... the poor little one.

I fear my cats will be going through the same soon. They are about to repair the stucco on the outside of my unit. If it's anything like it was on the building next door, it will involve lots of scary hammering, scraping, and drilling. I suspect I may not see my cats for weeks!
