My huge red coward

We had painters invade the balconies this morning to repair minor damages in the outside paint.

I didn't like it at all because I didn't have to work today, planned to sleep in to help deal with my leftover lurgy, and woke to some shadow rustling and humming on the other side of my bedroom window, which was ajar. Of course, my Gothic drapes were down, but it was bad enough -- I fled from my room as soundlessly as I could and hid in the bathroom, where the cats were already hiding out, scared witless by the apparition on our balcony. Mephi was cowering and hissing desperately, and Lucifer squeezed beneath the cabinet under the sink.

It took him hours to get back to normal, poor cat. He clung to me all afternoon and evening and only consented to leave my side when I filled the cat bowl with unscheduled gooshy food.-

It's the yellow eyed demon!

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!

Meanwhile, my cute kittie made the trip to his new home in Fort Worth. His new mama raced home from work armed with bottles, supplement and one of every kind of toy to meet him.

Another happy ending. :)

Almost all of the animals I place go to people I know or their friends. This one went to the mother of one of my adult clients. The woman's cat had died and she was deeply depressed. Misty drove up with the kitten today and then called with the report.

Apparently, her mother left work early for a "doctor's appointment " (she had already made an appt with the vet to get the kittie "whatever it needs" LOL) and then stopped by the store on the way home to get special toys.

So I think the Empress Mi-ow is in clover. :D

Now I just have to place the last one!

Fortunately, Saturday is a horse show and horse people are also big cat people. :)

K, that little teeny tiny kitten?

She used to sleep with my enormous German Shepherd!

I think she assumed that because it was bigger than she was and warm and furry, it must be mama.

Of course the dog would roll her around the floor every time she tried to clean her (tongue bath). :D

At first I was horrified but Keeper has proven herself to be Nana. I can leave her alone with them even before their eyes are open and she just sits by the bed watching them. She's fascinated by tiny mewing things.

I need to take some! I am not very good about taking pics. But the next time I have one cuddled up under Keerper's enormous jowls, napping happily, I will be certain to. :)
