Not yet -- I have an iPad now and reading all the e-books, but don't trust the thing enough yet to shell out actual money for them. So, I am hedging bets. Also, the Nazgul has ordered it (on paper), so I might simply borrow it from her when she is done.

I'm cutting out alcohol for a month so that I can buy it.

The Guardian slammed her, comparing her to Dickens. Uh, since when is writing like Dickens an insult????

Mostly everyone is comparing it to HP which is silly.

It's very political, most definitely socialist in leaning, but -- hey! -- that's my politics so it won't offend me at all. :D

Anybody who couldn't tell that JKR thinks politically to a great extend, and what her politics actually are, must have been blind, or not read HP at all...

I actually don't think the reviewer did read HP. I think he just wanted to slam her for writing something after HP.

I do not get this HP-hate.

There are books that you can only read electronically! My iPad's Kindle app is currently full of PDFs downloaded from AO3. Finally, I can read all the fic as I wanted to!

I actually have been happy there of late but that is probably because I am in such an obscure fandom and my only readers are French and Bulgarian!

Well, the Pit of Voles exists, and there is text in there. But other than that, I tend to ignore its existence.

I have my French readers there so there I shall stay. Gives me an excuse to practice my French!

Of course it makes sense to stay where your readers are. My readers are on AO3, especially for the two short-shorts about Darcy and Loki that have got a halfway respectable number of hits and kudos. Unbetaed 1,800 word ficlets. You never know what will rock people's boats.-

I like AO3. I can post my banners with my drabbles there. And the original NNITL fic writer (baranduin) is there. But in my fandom, the action is ffnet. I don't know if they have AO3 in France?
