Really? But why do I have a feeling I will wind up fuming in frustration at the end because my product looks nothing like the demonstration? :D

I tried that once with bows, I was making them for our Halloween Hunter Derby and I was so frustrated I wound up opting for a simpler version (the Derby coincided with the Race for the Cure so I went with that model instead.)

Adornment! They were put on the bags each child got at the end of the hunt (even if they didn't place, they received a bag of Halloween candy).

Ahhh okay, those are easier to make than bows to shoot with.

Really? I couldn't make one to save my life. But then I have never made a bow for shooting.

Bows to shoot with is a serious craft. I've got a friend who is married to one of the few master bowyers that still exist.

I suppose those are real ones that do actual damage. Here we just take a stick and tie string to either end. But I'm no Katniss.

wha-at? No comparison! HG is excellent children's fiction. I would totally read it again I liked it so much. I just read the first one, tho. I felt the author accomplished what needed to be done with that. The only reason I would have written a second one was to have Cinna lead the revolution. :)

Sorry, I don't know him from Adam. The Nazgul promised to bring the movie, but hasn't so far. She's read them all. But then, she reads pile of stuff like that, as she works at the International Youth Library.

I hated the movie. Well, hate is too strong. It was just much too much. I thought they killed the characters. The beauty of the book is its subtlety.

Read at least the first volume. It's really not bad. The second is okay too, only the third was obviously written to please movie makers.
