This is a word I just actually used in an email:

Konkurrenzauswertungsobjekterfassungsbesonderheiten

I admit, it was a bit tongue-in-cheek, but I used it in a useful context. I know, there are much longer ones, but do they actually get used?

Yes, I used it. Because that's what I di today: explain the Konkurrenzauswertungsobjekterfassungsbesonderheiten to the colleague who has to actually enter that data.

Yes, they are. There are three on my flist, and all three are among those that I talk to most. Odd.

Yes, exactly, that's what I was - what I still am, in a way! So the word gets even longer, and is still usable. I shall amuse a few people with that word next week. I'm not at work tomorrow, because I go collect cotton bags look at interesting new products at the "Systems" trade fair with nazgul_nr_5, and on Friday, we go to Nuremberg and see a Nightwish concert.
