My for-pay job's fair booth (well, beautiful giant red-and-white contraption, really) from the Systems computer trade fair  was on TV for a few seconds last night. Neither my boss nor the pinscher was at all visible, though. They'd said the TV team had spent an hour filming there yesterday.-

In other news: can somebody please extrude the popular three-letter acronym "TMI" for me? Vee? Wiebke? Anyone? I have an idea what it might mean, but no idea what it actually translates to.

In any case, I think what I'm going to say is tantamount to perpetrating a TMI, so I'll put it behind a cut in case of the very, very outside chance that I actually ended up on the flist of some male person. Do I know anybody male? Huh. I'm not sure about supiluliumas, but the rest of you most prolly isn't.

"Systems" today, with the Nazgul. We need new cotton bags. And Thomas the Metropolitan has told me of a brilliant new software we absolutely need to see, although I think he was mostly impressed by the young man who was telling him about it, heh!

And tomorrow, Nightwish concert in Nuremberg, with the Nazgul as well. We only have seats, no arena cards, but we don't want to enter the fray this time, really. It's not Apo, after all. These people don't know us, so why should we defy death and pogo-dancing kiddies to be in the first row?

Well, actually, japanologist is male as well, but he's been inactive for ages. I'm just glad his LJ's still there so I can stylishly refer to him with LJ user tags if I do some work for his agency in RL.-

Apart from that, there is nobody else even vaguely suspected of maleness anywhere about. I have recently talked to some male hangers-on of my friends on the ladies' journals; there has been a spate of them, so the most recent of them even got a limerick for it. But none of them were keepers. Apart from you, if you are indeed male.

I like that attitude! So many have tried to excuse their behavior as due to the vagaries of their gender. I don't need to be a guy just to be nuts. I can be nuts on my own!

Basically. ^^ I tend to use it in the context of "Guys, don't click this lj-cut unless you've got a girlfriend who already complains about this sort of thing".

Heh!! Supi hasn't yet confessed one way or another. But one male per flist seems to be the avarage for fangirls of our sort. Unless you read copperbadge, but then, he's not really likely to read you back, so no TMI cuts because of him.-

TMI = Too Much Information

Example would be some woman you don't know well suddenly telling you someone very personal about her sex life or her menstrual cycle or a strange psychotic dream. Saying TMI to someone is telling them they've crossed a boundary, and using a "TMI warning" tells people you might be saying something that might possibly make *some* people uncomfortable.

LJ jargon is a world of its own. One should start collacting a jargon file for this subculture. One's not me, though, because I, erm, do more than is good for me already.

He he. You ask ME? I haven't been able to get to bed before 2 a.m. since sometime this summer. But I always get up between 8 and 9. Ouch.

Oh, so you're not any better than I am, huh? I tend to go to sleep around midnight or 1 a.m. and to get up at six or seven to catch the American East Coast before they go to bed.

Sorry for the intrusion but I simply have to toss in my 2 euro cents. Getting less than 8 hours of sleep per night is very unhealthy. With an average of 5-6 hours you only have about 70% of your brainpower left. That is why I inhume everyone who wakes me up before noon.
