I watched 'The Importance of Being Earnest' with the Nazgul today.

There were those two young women, Gwendolen and Cecily. They both had diaries and lived very much through them, wriiting even while things happened, and cultivating a rich fantasy life in them. And when they became friends or co-conspirators, they sat and read each other's diaries.

It reminded me of LJ, of friending, and of fanfic (the way Cecily dreamed of knights) - there is nothing new under the sun.

We use those new technologies just to be human in, as always.

'Heuriger GrĂ¼ner Veltliner' is a very nice wine, this year as it was last year...

Yeah, women always had this kind of culture.

I think it's very interesting; it means the web is becoming more female.

Just this part of it, and I think it has always been. The cheaper the technology becomes and the easier to access, the more women come online, and they do learn what they NEED to be able to get at and do what they want to use it for. LJ is a completely female thing to me, although I know there are male bloggers. Apart from the groups being seperated, the whole chatting and imaging is more female to me.

PS: now that you started posting again I expect you to comment on other people's journals as well, it's my female prerogative.
