Kitchen pictures
I spent all day cleaning and tidying and washing windows and doing lots of stuff I had put off. Listening to Alan Parsons Project all the time; it is an excellent soundrack for getting things done. A certain helpful large feline has supplied me with their entire catalogue; I haven't even listened to half of it yet.
And when I was finished, I took pictures of my kitchen because I'd been talking about how well terracotta and blue go together to
essayel the other day while our charries Charlie and Marvin were making a mosaic in that colour together - she said she liked the combination, and I said I had it in my kitchen - the terracotta has been there since the 80s, and the Matropolitans had supplied the blue cabinet fronts when I moved in, and the overall effect is very pleasing. Today, the place was finally clean enough to take pictures of it that are, in fact, pleasing to the eye.

What can I say by way of comment? It's my kitchen, it's terracotta and blue, and yes, I do drink that much coffee - it's not just character bleed from
asar_suti .

And I keep funny brushes that are little people and a duckie, too... *blushes*

I am amazed by how small your kitchen is! o.o

You know, apartments in Europe are much smaller. I should give you a picture tour of mine some day. It's 32 square meters, but please don't ask me to translate that into square feet...
In any case, wiping counter tops is not a separate chore for me; it happens naturally every time I wash up. My apartment fits me like the shell fits the hermit crab; and I can have two visitors, even. I can feed four others in the kitchen if I want to.

Dear gods! That translates into about 344 square feet.
Our apartment is about 93 square meters... Our master bedroom alone 13 square meters, and our kitchen is just over 8 square meters. (The smallest apartment available in this complex is 74 square meters.)
I am always so surprised at European apartments and homes. When turned down buying a house that was 70 square meters in size because it was simply too small for our liking -- we'd rather have a home around 150 square meters, which is pretty easy to find, since it's the most common home size here in Florida, but the property prices are just too much, which is why we continue to rent.
I would love to see pictures of your apartment, though! I think that would be quite nifty. :D

On the other hand, the house I live in is made of good 19th century brick that are eminently solid and not likely to fall over in a hurricane, if we had them, which we don't. So the Nazgul and I are even more surprised at the fact that in places where they have hurricanes, people build in clapboard and corrugated iron so the houses fall over more easily when the hurricane comes.-

Now for something completely different: I put Marek into Forythe! *proud*
