wiebke had Friday Five for me. So it's not only The Crossword for Fridays from now on.
1. What do you do for a living?
Network administrator and database tamer. Also, I free-lance in translating and ediing text and reviewing books.
2. What do you like most about your job?
About my day job? The moment when a database yields up its hidden meaning, and an answer emerges from the amorphous data well.
3. What do you like least about your job?
When communications go wrong and people start shouting at each other and handing blame around instead of getting things done.
4. When you have a bad day at work it's usually because _____...
...of the terribly bad style of Management By Panic that's customary at my day job. Let everything hang until it goes wahoonie-shaped, and then screech and rant. and shout "Fix it this very instant!!!"
5. What other career(s) are you interested in?
More writing, especially fiction,a s in, finishing my novel and getting it published. And less people going ballistic around me. For the lessening of ballistics, it might be enough to find another company to work for in the same field, though. Mine is singularily irrational.
