Americans saying sorry to the rest of the world for the fact that Bush was re-elected and is inflicted on all of us for four more years.
Hey, people, as part of the rest of the world I really appreciate that! And I know you all did your best, for examplemarchenland or Michael Moore, but also many many others who didn't happen to come to my attention that much.
Looking at all the pictures on that site makes me go awww; these people with their hand-written signs on note paper are very cute and moving in a way that I can't entirely put my finger on. Perhaps it's because it's such a geeky, dorky idea to have that web site.
Plus, as part of the rest of the world, I feel personally addressed and would like to say to them, "Hey guys, I know how hard you worked, it's not your fault you've got such strange compatriots in the large, empty reaches in the middle of your country, plus all those iffy voting machines."
I feel like comforting them.
Talking of Michael Moore: he seems to have come out of the first shock and posted a message to his web site that is really funny. No show tunes any more, but lava instead - oh ha ha ha...
