This is more typical than extraordinary, ad I just write it up because I still find it remarkable.
I spent my day at home at my computer, anti-social and alone, eh? I just took my newly restored blue bike for a spin to get some groceries.
Well, in truth, you just didn't see the people here with me, because they're on the other end of the Internet, physically.
Apart from the part where I talk to
essayel and
celticangel76 as a matter of course, during the RPage in Morningstar Manor? Well, I refreshed my f-list and saw a post by
_inbetween_ about CSS problems, of which I understand roughly as much as a lizard does about flying; but
japanologist does nothing but CSS and Open Source and web programming and server administration and Drupal all day, so I linked him to the post, he answered with an entry on his tech blog, and off they were.
Later, I asked 'Tweeny about Svava the cat's rug-peeing problem, as she's something of a catspert -
_inbetween_ not Svava, who is just a cat. 'Tweeny asked me what the rug smelled of, and I said, 'Rubber and peach-scented fabric conditioner', upon which the expert advised me to drop a tiny bit of that in the corner of the litter-box. Bizarre, eh? All I know is, the cat's been here for hours, the rug is dry, and the litter box gets used exactly as it should be for the first time in ages. Cat magic. Problem two solved.
I sometimes check new web sites under XP and IE for
japanologist as he won't tolerate those in his MS-free environment in his agency, but not today - I admired the almost-finished version of one that I'd sent hours on, during its early stages, though. He sent me a link to the iTunes music store, too, and I finally got around to making an account to buy music without the interference of little silvery plastic discs that get used exactly once these days.
That's how anti-social I was today, the cat and me all by ourselves in my little apartment...
