New EMail client

Okay, so trusty old Eudora was conking out on me. 13,000 + notifies from Morningstar Manor was just too much for her. Also, she had started showing boring ads for National Geographic and kiddie magazines instead of stuffed animals.

All in all, it wasn't worth the bother any more.

So I finally changed over to Thunderbird, the email client that goes with Firefox.

It's not just as much of a revelation as Firefox was, back when - it just works, smoothly and quietly. One thing that really impressed me was the fact it got all my old stuff over safely, including the fidgety account settings. Took a blasted hour during which I read magazines, but still.-

I feel it is worth pimping.

Morningstar Manor is to small for its own version of milliquotes , as I often said, so I need to quote something here that made me squee while summarising the thread. Context: essayel 's character Charlie visits a dear female friend who's been mysteriously out of circulation for a few days:

Dear Thunderbird,

how many times must I tell you that GJ notifies are not fishing, and LJ notifies are not spam??

I want to have these notifies.

I like what my friends have to say to me, and I like getting tags on my threads! I love writing with Sal or Kel or Meg; Tiger, Saundra, Charlotte or Aspen, and I please want to have what they were aswering to my tags.

And I don't want to tell you more than a dozen times.
