Good and evil on a Monday
Dec. 18th, 2006 11:30 amGood: We got snow today; just a little sprinkle, but it looks pretty. I'm just sorry it didn't come a week earlier so my Atlanteans could have enjoyed it as well. Also, it turned out that I really can't slip at all on my special sneakers (AKA veganskis). I walk over slush and snow and crisp bits of hoarfrist and the wet drive where the ancient concrete turns into a virtual ice rink when it's wet and cold, and never deviate an inch from where I was putting my feet. Sure-footed as a goat. Very good.
Evil: The building site in our first back courtyard is evil. There was hardly any doubt left on that account (after all, they employ orcs), but now it has been proven. The truck that drove through our courtyard when I was coming up from the laundry room prior to going to work sported a small plaque: 'Panolin Schmierstoffe' (=Panolin Lubricants). 'Oh,' I thought, 'they're sneakily hiding the 'g' - that's supposed to be Pangolin, and now I nailed them. Evil. Pangolin on a building site is necessarily evil. QED.' -And I walked up the ancient concrete of the drive without slithering at all.
Sorry, Morningstar Manor insider joke.-
