1. If you could suddenly speak one language fluently (that you don't currently speak) what would it be?
Russian, please. It is bloody difficult. Hindi is interesting as well, and I've been toying with it, but I can learn that very fast without any magic if I feel I really need to.
2. If you were to suggest a foreign film, that you really enjoyed, what one would you suggest?
Most movies are foreign here (and get dubbed, which is atrocious!) - but the one movie that's rather about the foreign-ness of different foreign parts and was made in several different languages (English, French, Italian, Finnish) is 'Night On Earth' by Jim Jarmusch. I love it to bits. For years and years and years now.
3. If you had to call another country home (other than the one you currently live in) what one would you choose?
Finland. No doubt about it. I find that country very conducive to me being me, somehow.
4. If you went out to buy an import music CD, what one would you buy?
I wish somebody would import something by Joshua Radin. Anything, really.
authorm keeps going on about him, and I just can't get more than the two songs I got off iTunes. American is 'imported' here, after all.
5. If you were to chose an ethnic dinner, what would it be?
I think I shall makes something Indian and vegetarian on Sunday when
nazgulwears comes over for movies and cooking. She's bringing her little foldup computer as well nowadays, so Indian movies are a bit out - you have to look at them to catch the subtitles. I don't always, but the Nazgul has less Hindi than I do (see point 1.)
