Also, I get my own copy of 'The Crow' today, so I can get him better icons for the ones that I don't like so far without the Bar getting used to the substandard ones.-


*It's a bit absurd to do be so happy about an unhappy character that most likely hides in the basement if he's got to laugh ((for wiebke, cracicotus and tekalynn : 'Er/sie geht zum Lachen in den Keller' is a funny German idiom that implies the person in question is terribly, terribly serious, so serious it's ridiculous for ordinary people.)) but then - I-the-mun am a cheerful person with a notoriously dirty laugh, most of the time.

I tame Austrians, savvy?

The Austrian that I've been moaning about in chat and in my last post so much -- has caved in and finally done what he was supposed to! No attack of the Mythical Kitty Of Doom necessary any more.-

And how did I do it? How did I, in fact, do it with both our equally difficult Austrian customers on this project? One of which in fact became airborne for a while as to be unreachable?

I said 'savvy?'* to them.

Yep. That was it. All I neede to make difficult Austrians cave in and obey was saying 'savvy?' to them.

To be precise, when I lost my patience with either, I briefly explained one more time what they needed to do if they wanted to be involved in this project, and ended the missive on, "... and then we will be done. Savvy? Best regards, Maru Yakalskovich**"

And they both did what they were supposed to and sent a very apologetic, almost submissive, email, and that was it!

*For wiebke, cracicotus and tekalynn: - Of course I used the German version which I know because I watched PotC in the German dub with the Little Lady last summer; it's 'Alles klar soweit?' and that is what I said to them. Plain English 'savvy?' would most likely have confused them utterly.-
