Apparently, according to a news release linked in this post in
ways_back_room by the technically savvy
buongiornodaisy, LJ now can do comment editing (at least for paid members) and PMs.-
Woww finally!
I am used to comment editing from blogger.de, where my German language blog is (http://sethos.blogger.de if anyone is interested; that's semi-permeable, that is, I link to there from LJ, but never from there to LJ) - it is very useful! I hate having to either retag and slow the flow, or leaving a glaring typo standing if my unequal fingers were too fast again. Of course, on blogger.de I just blog and talk, never play - with the many many tags of RPage, it will be even more useful.
I hope they make the feature available to the general public eventually. Teja has got a paid account, so while I'm threading him in
milliways_bar, I can do it already! Have to try if changing an icon after the fact works as well, as that is another reason for retags, in addition to the unequal fingers.-
The second feature (private messages) is just as useful; many of us will know it from GJ. Replaces awkward OOC notices and screened comments for Christmas card addresses and shouts of 'YAY I just had a plot idea' on an OOC comm, etc.
Finally, finally, LJ has a good idea that actually improves its service. Now they should just introduce icon preview like GJ, and things would get really smooth...
