Hulluja nuo Suomalaiset!!
Apr. 18th, 2008 02:23 amNo obligatory drunk post -- I am not drunk. Instead, I'm weak with giggling. I'll be a while yet until I get all the giggle hormones out of my system. Luckily, in Milliways,
oh_wowee just returned, so there is thread to let off energy.
Mental energy, not physical -- physically, my feet are dead!
So, as I said we would,
nazgulwears and I went and saw a concert of 'Eläkeläiset'.
Those Finns! They are mad! Crazy! Stark staring raving! Totally lost ALL their marbles!! As you can see on YouTube (that link leads to them there!), they're a band that plays pop and rock classics in a humppa/punk crossover style. As a part of the punk bit, in the end, the keyboarder broke up his keyboard and threw the parts into the audience. Also, there was a proper mosh pit with people pogoing to Finnish humppa music.

It was even funnier if you understood Finnish; they made everybody sing 'I am a reindeer - a humppa reindeer' in Finnish, and people DIDN'T REALISE THAT WAS WHAT THEY WERE SINGING!!!!
However, there was this Finnish voice in the back of my head (and I know whose that was), going at me 'These people are crazy! this is awful, awful music, and you stupid Germans LIKE that? Those dreadful musicians are so totally pulling your legs and you don't notice - mwahahahahhh!!'; and I must admit, he was right. It was still fun, though, if a somewhat more meta fun for me than those in the mosh pit.
Speaking of headvoices (of a more conventional RPage sort, not that of a real person one remembers), there was another amusing thing. There was a bloke at the concert, terribly tall and thin, and looking very much like the PB of
