Okay. Enough is enough. It is of course completely IC for my Milli!Teja to not know more than what other charries have been telling him, but it seems he's finally become embroiled in a complicated and popular canon that I-the-mun would know more about.

So I just caved in big time and ordered Amber. Ten books in one volume, really inexpensive thanks to the Nazgul ruining the US economy the state of the US dollar. Hopefull, it'll arrive before Thursday when I have another long train journey to Wiesbaden. Unless there is more text to beta, which would come first!

One part of the meme pool I am keeping an eye on is the Results Only Work Environment idea. It is painful to have to work traditionally at my 'slavery' when I know how wonderfully one can get people together and things done through well-connected online cooperation. We RPers have the mantra 'RL always comes first' because the results would be doomful if it didn't. In a traditional workplace, you have to put all RL on hold while you slave your pre-agreed hours, or face dire consequences. I have shifted down years ago, and work 'half-time', but that still doesn't mean my time is my own and I get the work done. Anything but.-

Now, the two inventors of ROWE implemented a feature on their blog that asked people why work sucks; and when I was stuck at work due to the inefficiency of one certain co-worker shortly before I moved (and had HEAPS to do in RL, and could hardly think of RP any more, despite the wonderful Kingdom Hospital plot being on in Milliways at the time!), I went there and really told those ladies why work sucks. Why it sucks rancid diseased Ankh water!!!
